DETAILS OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS

• 1. The Admission process is completely online. The candidates need not visit IIIT Kalyani physically for admission.


• 2. The candidates need to pay the Institute fees (see Institute fee structure: Part A) between November 16, 2020 and November 21, 2020 if his/her seat was allotted in the JoSAA round and if he/she is NOT going to participate in CSAB rounds. The candidates need to pay the institute fees between November 25, 2020 -- November 30, 2020, if his/her seat is allotted in CSAB Round 1 or 2.


• 3. The Institute fee for the first semester is Rs. 1,03,820/- (see Institute fee structure: Part A).
  Total amount paid as JoSAA round seat acceptance fee, JoSAA round partial admission fee OR special round participation fee and special round seat acceptance fee excluding processing charges (as the case it is) must be subtracted from this amount (Rs. 1,03,820) to get the remaining amount to be paid to IIIT Kalyani.
  
  Example -1:
  
  Amount Already Paid to JoSAA/CSAB (excluding Processing Charges) = Rs. 73,000 (General/Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL),
  then the candidate will pay Rs. 1,03,820 - 73,000 = Rs. 30,820
  (Adjust/Subtract "Already Paid to JoSAA" amount i.e., Rs. 73000 from the section Tuition
  Fees in SBI portal during payment. Write Tution Fee = Rs. 17000 in place of Rs. 90,000/-
  keeping the other components as they are in the fee structure).
  
  Example -2:
  
  Amount Already Paid to JoSAA/CSAB (excluding Processing Charges) = Rs. 33,000 (SC/ST/PwD),
  then the candidate will pay Rs. 1,03,820 - 33,000 = Rs. 70,820
  (Adjust/Subtract "Already Paid to JoSAA" amount i.e., Rs. 33000 from the section Tuition
  Fees in SBI portal during payment. Write Tution Fee = Rs. 57000 in place of Rs. 90,000/-
  keeping the other components as they are in the fee structure).
  
  
  
  Example -3:
  
  Candidates who had withdrawn/cancelled after document verification their seat in JoSAA rounds and got allotted a seat in CSAB special rounds:
  Amount Already Paid to JoSAA/CSAB (excluding Processing Charges) = Rs. 71,000 (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL),
  then the candidate will pay Rs. 1,03,820 - 71,000 = Rs. 32,820
  (Adjust/Subtract "Already Paid to JoSAA" amount i.e., Rs. 71000 from the section Tuition
  Fees in SBI portal during payment. Write Tution Fee = Rs. 19000 in place of Rs. 90,000/-
  keeping the other components as they are in the fee structure).
  
  
  
  
  Example -4:
  
  Candidates who had withdrawn/cancelled after document verification their seat in JoSAA rounds and got allotted a seat in CSAB special rounds:
  Amount Already Paid to JoSAA/CSAB (excluding Processing Charges) = Rs. 31,000 (SC/ST/PWD),
  then the candidate will pay now Rs. 1,03,820 - Rs. 31,000 = Rs. 72,820
  (Adjust/Subtract "Already Paid to JoSAA" amount i.e., Rs. 31000 from the section Tuition
  Fees in SBI portal during payment. Write Tution Fee = Rs. 59000 in place of Rs. 90,000/-
  keeping the other components as they are in the fee structure).

• 4. During admission, the amount to be paid does not include the hostel and mess fees (see Institute fee structure: Part B). The candidate needs to pay the hostel and mess fees only when he/she joins IIIT Kalyani hostel physically. Note that for all first year students it's mandatory to stay in hostel.


• 5. a) After paying the institute fee, the candidate must submit the proof of payment of institute admission fee, scanned self attested documents (as listed in the front page of the admission form) along with the filled-in admission form as a single ZIP using this link given below.           b) In addition to the above, The candidates must send the following documents to admission@iiitkalyani.ac.in with a copy to office@iiitkalyani.ac.in as email attachments.
  In the subject line the name of the candidate and JEE(Main) Application Number must be written.
                    i) Filled-in Admission form
                    ii) Seat Acceptance Fee (JoSAA), Partial Admission Fee, Special Round Participation Fee,
                    Special Round Seat Acceptance Fee (which are applicable to you) - Payment Proof
                    for all payments made to JoSAA/CSAB
                    (for example, Document-Verification-cum-Seat-Acceptance-Letter can be submitted as proof)
                    iii) IIIT Kalyani Admission Fee Payment Receipt (you must save the receipt after the payment is processed during paying from SBI portal)
                
  • The Admission Form must be a scanned PDF, other files (payment proofs) can be either PDF or Image.
  
  


• 6. After a verification of the receipts in Item 5, if found to be proper, the candidates will receive an email from IIIT Kalyani confirming their admission. During the process, the candidate may receive queries over emails or over the phone. Failing answering the queries in time may lead to the cancellation of the submission from the admission process.
