Ms. Tanushree Roy, under the supervision of Dr. Oishila Bandyopadhyay. And Dr. Uma Das, received the International Travel Support (ITS) grant from ANRF, Govt. of India, to attend the 23rd Annual Meeting of Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) 2026 conference at Fukuoka, Japan during 3-7 August 2026. She presented her paper titled "VisBiLSTM: Attention-Based Bidirectional LSTM Model for Forecasting Visibility over Urban and Semi-Urban Airports".

Ms. Tanisha Mallick received the Best Paper Award in the “Communication” track at the Seventh International Conference on Research in Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks (ICRCICN 2025), held in Kalyani, India, in December 2025. The award was presented for the paper titled “Real-Time Prediction of Signal Strength for 4G and 5G Communication,” co-authored by Dr. Dalia Nandi and Dr. Sanjay Chatterjee.
The project "Krishibandhu—A 5G-Enabled Smart Farming Assistant,” developed by the team Debarpita Paul Choudhury, Anujeet Verma, and Bijay Lakshmi Singh under the mentorship of Dr. Dalia Nandi, was selected for the Pragati Phase of the 5G Hackathon 2025, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India. The project was awarded a grant of ₹1 lakh to support the development of the final prototype.
Mr. Soumen Bajpayee (Supervised by Dr. Imon Mukherjee) published one chapter in the Springer CCIS book series in ICSP'2024.
Mr. Sayan De published a journal paper, titled "Fine-tuned encoder models with data augmentation beat ChatGPT in agricultural named entity recognition and relation extraction" in Expert Systems with Applications, SCIE, Impact Factor 7.5, under the supervision of Dr. Imon Mukherjee and Dr. Debarshi Kumar Sanyal, IACS.
Mr. Sourav Karmakar published a journal paper, titled "2D V2C MXene Based Flexible Gas Sensor for Highly Selective and Sensitive Toluene Detection at Room Temperature" in ACS Applied Electronic Materials, under the supervision of Dr. Rinky Sha.
Mr. Soumyajit Pal published a journal paper titled “SSN: A Novel CNN-Based Architecture for Classification of Tropical Cyclone Images From INSAT-3D” in IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, with an impact factor 7.5, under the supervision of Dr. Uma Das and Dr. Oishila Bandyopadhyay.
Mr. Soumen Santra published an article entitled “Bluestein–Gulyaev (BG) waves in a piezo-thermoelastic half-space in the context of modified multi-phase-lag theory.” in the Journal Journal of Vibration and Control, under the supervision of Dr. Anirban Lakshman.
Mr. Subhendu Mandal published an article entitled “Analytical Derivation of the Secular Equation for Surface Waves in an Imperfectly Bonded Complex Structure Employing the GN-III Model.” in the Journal International Journal of Geomechanics, under the supervision of Dr. Anirban Lakshman.
Sreeparna Ganguly won the Best Presentation Award for in IEEE CIS Workshop on Women in Artificial Intelligence 2024, organized by IIT Indore.
Sourabh Biswas received the Best Paper Award in 5 th Intl. Conf. IEEE PKIA-24, Bangalore.
