Ms. Sreeparna Ganguly (Senior Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Imon Mukherjee) was awarded Travel Grant to the Fifth Indian Symposium on Machine Learning (IndoML) 2024, sponsored by Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa.
Ms. Sreeparna Ganguly won Best Paper Award for “Disjunctive Edge Map based Image Sterilization for Destruction of Steganograms in Spatial Domain” in IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (IEEE SILCON), 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Imon Mukherjee.
Ms. Sreeparna Ganguly won Best Presentation Award for “Annihilation of Image Stegogram through Deep Texture Extraction based Sterilization” in IEEE CIS Workshop on Women in Artificial Intelligence 2024, organized by IIT Indore, under the supervision of Dr. Imon Mukherjee.
Mr. Sourav Das, a PhD Scholar in the Dept. of CSE (Supervised by Dr. Sanjay Chatterji and Co-supervised by Dr. Imon Mukherjee), has been successfully selected for a Remote Research Internship Program at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata in May 2024.
Mr. Sourav Das received the Best Doctoral Research award at the 10th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI'23) by the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, in December 2023.
Mr. Sourav Das has been selected for the prestigious National-level ACM Anveshan Setu Ph.D. Fellowship Program in January 2023.
Mr. Sourav Das received the Diversity & Inclusion Award for the flagship joint conference of the 59th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL 2021) in 2021.
Mr. Soumen Bajpayee (Supervised by Dr. Imon Mukherjee) published one chapter in the Springer CCIS book series in ICSP'2024.
Mr. Soumen Bajpayee served as a resource person in an ATAL FDP (2024) organized at Supreme Knowledge Foundation and in a workshop organized by Amity University, Kolkata (2025).
Mr. Sayan De published a journal paper, titled "Fine-tuned encoder models with data augmentation beat ChatGPT in agricultural named entity recognition and relation extraction" in Expert Systems with Applications, SCIE, Impact Factor 7.5, under the supervision of Dr. Imon Mukherjee and Dr. Debarshi Kumar Sanyal, IACS.
Mr. Sourav Karmakar published a journal paper, titled "2D V2C MXene Based Flexible Gas Sensor for Highly Selective and Sensitive Toluene Detection at Room Temperature" in ACS Applied Electronic Materials, under the supervision of Dr. Rinky Sha.
Abhik Maji (2025 batch) was a finalist in Flipkart Grid 6.0 and secured a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) for his outstanding performance.
Ayushman Bhatt secured AIR 64 in GATE 2024.
Arindo Mondal secured AIR 665 in GATE 2025.

Pritwish Dey’s paper on quantum public key cryptography was accepted at ICSP 2024 and published as a Springer book chapter. He also interned at IISc Bangalore (CPDM), working on mixed reality with Unity and HoloLens 2.
Nikhil Laxminarayan completed a Summer Research Internship at IIT Delhi in hybrid mode.
Team Mecha Wafers (Subradeep Mondol, Satadru Haldar, Soumyadeep Kundu and Soumyajit Pradhan) was selected among the top ideas at IDEAPOOL during TechBiz 2024, organized by RISE Foundation IISER in collaboration with IKP PRIME and IISER Kolkata.
Team Coding Pirates (Mohit Kumar Shaw, Aditya Arya, Ankit Kumar Soni, Aman Kumar, and Tanishka Jain) secured 4th rank out of 402 teams in the Cyber Hackathon 2025, Govt. of Bihar.
Pranjali Sirari (2027 batch) secured 2 Gold and 1 Silver medal in Swimming at the INTER IIIT SPORTS MEET 2025.
Sahil Kumar (2026 batch) secured 2 Bronze medals in Swimming at the INTER IIIT SPORTS MEET 2025.
