The Government of West Bengal has lent support to the institute by granting 50 acres of land for setting up the Campus. While construction has been started in the land provided, the institute is presently running from the temporary campus at Webel IT Park, Kalyani.

WEBEL IT PARK KALYANI

West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WBEIDC Ltd.), under the aegis of Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal, the nodal body is driving Information Technology (IT) related investments across the state through its IT Parks, Hardware Parks and Electronic Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs). Our institute, Indian Instiute Of Information Technology Kalyani, is presently running in one of these IT parks.

Webel IT Park Kalyani has a ground plus three floor building on 1.0 acre of land. This building is well connected by road (Kalyani - Barrackpore Expressway), as well as rail ( kalyani railway station 5.1 km distance). This is located at a valid distance from Kolkata , the Cultural Capital Of India.

Air Conditioned classrooms With Video Conferencing Facility

The infrastructure of the building is pretty good and sufficient for the functioning of the institution. The classrooms alloted for the institution are smart classrooms, which have video conferencing facility. Faculties and industry experts from distant locations may take classes and may interact with the students through video conferencing in the classrooms. The classroom has the capacity to accommodate more than a 100 students.
